Have a Merry Christmas Wedding!

With only a couple of days until Christmas Day, things are getting pretty festive at MMW Towers…. the decorations are on the tree, the fairy lights are up and on (and might stay there all year if I have my way!) and the bubbly is chilling in the fridge!

Go anywhere near Pinterest at this time of year and it is full of DIY Christmas decorations, yummy recipes and of course wedding ideas!  So I thought I would share my most beautiful festive finds….

It has to be done – 70’s classic Harvey Wallbanger is a Christmas favourite in our household, but what about Cranberry Margaritas,  or sparkling Orange Cranberry Sangria?

Flowers can be an expensive choice for centrepieces for a Christmas wedding – especially if you have a red colour scheme, so why not scrap the floral centrepieces completely and use your budget on hiring some statement glassware and filling with baubles – nowadays you can buy them pretty inexpensively in most colours!

You can also ask your florist to incorporate the same colour baubles in your wedding bouquet and even mini baubles into the buttonholes!

I love these adorable tree favours – how nice to think that in years to come your guests will still have a piece of your wedding growing in their garden.

Gingerbread and cinnamon are my favourite flavours this month, and I can’t think of anything cuter than a gingerbread wedding cake!  Who saw the amazing creations on Kirstie’s Homemade Christmas last week?

You could either go for a traditional house design, but personalise it to incorporate your interests or family members, or a more contemporary tower of cinnamon and ginger stars.

Yes, I’m a sucker for candles, fairy lights and all things twinkly and as I mentioned above I love cinnamon… so how perfect is this combination?  Take a look at this tutorial from The Flower Studio to make your own cinnamon candles! They would be perfect grouped together as table centrepieces, or even used in the church.
