Supplier Spotlight – Sarah Lennon Hats

Have you ever found the perfect outfit for a wedding, only to struggle to find accessories that match?  Then I would like to introduce you to the wonderfully talented Sarah Lennon.  Her impressive client list has seen her creations showcased at events at St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace!  Oh and how gorgeous is her model Katrina?!

Who are you and what do you do?

I am Sarah Lennon, a milliner for 15 years, and I visit clients to discuss design and colour and then produce a bespoke hat creation for them.  I also supply En Fin in Douglas, Zooma in Castletown and Unique Boutique in Ramsey with a seasonal collection of hats and accessories.

Who or what are your influences?

I am constantly influenced by fashion and its current trends, from winter and autumn to spring and summer.  I also take inspiration from contemporary design and 1950’s vintage – classic fashion with a witty twist!

What is the best thing about your job?

I really enjoy meeting with each client to discuss all aspects of their wedding or occasion, colour & design, flowers and dresses for the Bridesmaids & the Bride and the Mother of the Bride too!

My hats are bespoke and unique – each creation is totally original!  I love my job, from the initial discussion & design, to creating each hat!

Have any weddings stood out for you?  If so, what made them special?

I went to a wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral in London last May, the whole setting was amazing.  It was a classic wedding with choral music and a choir.  The gentlemen all wore top hats and tails, with the Bride and Bridesmaids in white.  My son was a pageboy so that made it extra special!

What is the best piece of advice you could give a couple when choosing suppliers for their wedding?

You must feel confident with their product and feel able to talk through your personal requirements.  You need to feel like they really love their product too.

Where can people find out more about you?

I have just completed my website, and I am also on Facebook.  I recently had an article about my designs published in the latest edition of Manx Life!
